Upcoming Events & Opportunities to Connect!
October 15 – November 19 | PhD Practicum Panel Discussions
We’re seeking Woodruff School PhD alumni to participate in a series of career panel discussions with current PhD students. These panels will explore a variety of career pathways:
- October 15: Tenure-track positions at R1, R2, and R3 institutions
- October 29: Industry
- November 5: Startups
- November 12: National labs and CROs
- November 19: Non-technical roles
Panels are scheduled for approximately 9:30–10:20 a.m. ET and will be offered in a hybrid format, so alumni can participate either in person or virtually.

October 16 | GWW Experiential Learning Leadership Summit
Join us in person for the GWW Experiential Learning Leadership Summit. The summit will bring together members of the Woodruff School community to discuss best practices and common challenges, and explore ways the School and Georgia Tech can better support student organizations aligned with the School’s experiential learning mission.
Schedule:

2 p.m.: Coffee break, networking, and drafting award funding proposals
The morning workshop and lunch are open to all; the afternoon programming is for current and emerging student leaders and faculty, with alumni participating in the panel.

November 4 | Woodruff School Alumni Virtual Town Hall
Please join us for an upcoming Woodruff School Alumni Virtual Town Hall with Carolyn Seepersad, our new School Chair. She will share updates on the state of the School, her vision for the future, and key priorities shaping the path forward. This session will also provide an opportunity for alumni to engage directly, ask questions, and stay connected to the momentum of the Woodruff School.

Join the Woodruff School for the ME 2110 Design Review & Competition where students will showcase their design projects and apply engineering concepts to solve real-world challenges.
We are seeking alumni and industry professionals to serve as judges and provide feedback to participating student teams.

Woodruff School Graduate Women (WSGW)
Are you a Georgia Tech alumna interested in connecting with and mentoring graduate students? Woodruff School Graduate Women (WSGW) is seeking alumni, particularly Georgia Tech PhD and Mechanical Engineering PhD alumni, to participate in informal Mentorship Lunches with graduate students.
These one-hour lunches provide an opportunity to share your experiences at Georgia Tech, career journey, research, and life after graduate school while connecting with the next generation of Woodruff School graduates. Lunch is provided, and WSGW handles all event logistics.

Georgia Tech Women in Nuclear (WIN)
Connect with this newly established, registered student organization dedicated to supporting, and empowering students interested in nuclear science and engineering. Through professional development programs, networking opportunities, and industry engagement, WIN connects students with professionals and alumni who can share insights, mentorship, and career pathways in the nuclear field.
Woodruff School alumni are invited to support and engage with WIN by attending events, serving as guest speakers, sharing career insights, or collaborating on future programs that connect students with industry leaders and innovators.
