George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering alumnus Raj Sardana, M.S. ME 1982, has been named among Atlanta’s “2023 Most Admired CEOs.” He is the Chairman, CEO, and founder of Innova Solutions, a global digital transformation solutions provider.

This recognition from the Atlanta Business Chronicle honors chief executives with strong records of innovation in their fields, outstanding financial performance, a commitment to quality and diversity in the workplace, and meaningful contributions to the metro community. Sardana is among 39 business, civic, and community leaders selected for this year's honor.

Sardana originally started Innova Solutions, formerly named American CyberSystems, in 1998. Under his leadership, the company has expanded into a global organization that, along with its subsidiaries, employs more than 50,000 professionals worldwide and reports annual revenues approaching $3 billion. Innova Solutions has over 50 office locations in the United States as well as offshore development centers in India, Taiwan, and Mexico. This year, Innova Solutions will celebrate 25 years of business. Since its inception, innovation and client satisfaction have been at the core of the company’s robust technology offerings and industry solutions.

Sardana’s three children, Sonia Sardana, ISYE 2012, Shivani Sardana Vohra, ISYE 2013, and Rajan Sardana, hold key leadership roles in building the company as the next generation of Innova. Looking to the future, Innova will continue to pioneer technological and business solutions and serve as a change agent for opportunity and value.

Throughout the growth of Innova Solutions, Sardana has remained committed to giving back to communities around the globe. Along with his wife, Nita, Vice President of Community Outreach and Corporate Giving, he has led the company in its support of local U.S.-based non-profit organizations, including the YWCA’s Teen Girls in Technology Program, Women in Technology (WIT), and the Atlanta Food Bank. In India, where Innova Solutions has several offices and delivery centers, the company supports the Earth Saviours Foundation, an NGO located in Delhi that works to promote social consciousness and environmentalism.

Prior to founding Innova Solutions, Sardana served as President and CEO of Applied Communications, Inc., a multi-media and technology company in Atlanta. He also served as President and CEO of a multi-million-dollar private equity group with a diverse and extensive investment portfolio in the real estate, retail, and service industries. In addition, he has experience working in the aviation, defense, venture investment, and financial services industries. As part of Sardana’s commitment to continual client engagement and industry leadership, he serves as a member of the Forbes Business Council and the Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council.

Sardana will be formally recognized during the Most Admired CEO Awards event, taking place on August 17 at the Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta.
