With support from Boeing, Morris M. Bryan Jr. Professor Shreyes Melkote is developing highly accurate robotic manufacturing systems that could replace costly machine tools and make aircraft production more flexible and efficient. By combining computer vision, artificial intelligence, and real-time control, the research aims to help Boeing lower costs while increasing production capacity.
