Teaching Interests

Professor Mukhopadhyay’s teaching interests include special topics in nuclear radiation detection, with a primary focus on semiconductor detector technologies. She actively contributes to the development and implementation of new experimental modules for radiation detection laboratories, as well as complementary non-laboratory courses that closely integrate with and reinforce core concepts taught in the classroom.

Research Interests

Professor Mukhopadhyay’s research interests focus on experimental nuclear radiation detection and measurement, with particular emphasis on semiconductor detector technologies and radiation instrumentation. Her work includes neutron and gamma-ray spectroscopy, detector characterization, and radiation effects in materials and devices. She also conducts applied research in neutron field characterization and measurement, emphasizing the development of experimental platforms that support hands-on training and workforce development in radiation detection and nuclear engineering.
