2025 Woodruff School Homecoming Alumni Tours at the Flowers Invention Studio

Join us for an engaging afternoon at the Woodruff School! Experience guided tours of our state-of-the-art facilities, including the Flowers Invention Studio, a student-run makerspace open to the entire Georgia Tech community. Located in the Wepfer Design Commons, the Flowers Invention Studio empowers students to “own” the space, where volunteer Prototyping Instructors (PIs) are available to train and assist on projects. They provide access to many tools, such as 3D printers, laser and waterjet cutters, woodworking/metalworking tools, and more. The studio is unique in that students lead others in the use and maintenance of resources, promoting responsibility, safety, and community ownership in a supportive environment.
To celebrate 2025 Homecoming, our Woodruff School Alumni Tours will be hosted every 20 minutes, starting at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until 4:00 p.m., with small groups exploring the Invention Studio as well as the Wood Room. As a special bonus, participants will walk away with a small gift created in the Invention Studio by our students.
This is a fantastic opportunity for alumni, families, friends, supporters, and prospective students to engage with the Woodruff School community.
