Professional Bio

​​​​​​​Shamecia Powers serves as the school administrative officer for the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MBA from Georgia State University. She has served in various leadership roles across Georgia Tech's campus for over a decade, including serving as Chair of the Georgia Tech Staff Council. Shamecia oversees the organization, administration, and management of strategic activities, supporting Woodruff School leadership in directing operations and advancing key initiatives.
