The Woodruff School prepared me well for either an industry or academic career. The program developed my technical expertise to help me solve new, complex, real-world problems that are important to industry as well as advancing new knowledge. I was able to choose from several career opportunities in both industry or academia.

The strengths of the graduate program at Georgia Tech are numerous: modern, well-equipped facilities, strong industrial research ties, an extensive course list, and a large, friendly faculty. The Woodruff School has many special courses on topics not taught at other institutions, which enabled me to tailor my education. The School provides the guidance and support to all graduate students geared toward both academic and career success. Teaching practicums, strong professional societies, the Graduate Student Symposium, among other campus activities, have built a strong graduate student community and provide an opportunity for personal growth.

The quality of the graduate program, the faculty, the student body, and the facilities is the best I have seen. The faculty have a genuine interest in both research and teaching. Courses emphasize strong fundamental theory as well as state-of-the-art methods. Research facilities at the Woodruff School are modern, extensive, and well kept. Instrumentation and equipment are readily available for all research projects. Also, there is a very active graduate student community.
