My research at Georgia Tech involved Robotics/Control and the Internet. It required me to familiarize myself with a variety of topics outside my core discipline. The Woodruff school has a very large variety of classes and chances are that by the time you left here, you will wish you had the time to take a few more. If there is one thing that I left Georgia Tech with, it is the confidence to work on challenging problems. The Woodruff school is a high-energy place with lots of exciting research opportunities. The school is well equipped with state of the art facilities, enthusiastic faculty, a friendly atmosphere and stubborn students that refuse to give up on a difficult research problem.

Student morale is very high and the Woodruff school treats everyone as a colleague and as an individual (and that's from the day you arrive to the day you leave). The school has a superb reputation and its former graduates have made a great impression on the outside world. I remember when I graduated the economy was slowing (especially in the high tech sector), despite that I had several job offers coming out of school.

I now work at Intel mask operations, where I write simulation and automation software that aids in the inspection and repairing of photo masks, that act as the stencil' for manufacturing Intel's high-end microprocessors. My background in software, and systems integration (learnt while tinkering with robots), coupled with a strong interest in image processing (that started while I was a student at Georgia Tech) has helped me tremendously at my current job.

Picking the Woodruff school has been a very rewarding experience and if I had to do it all over again, I gladly would. Of course given that the school is located in the heart of a city like Atlanta, with its friendly people and southern hospitality makes it one of the best places to pursue a graduate degree.
