With the generous support of Shell Oil Company, the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering is able to offer tutoring in the following ME and COE classes:

Individual Academic Support (Tutoring)

There are many options available on campus if you need academic support.

  • Office of Success Programs - One-on-One tutoring is available for weekly appointments in daytime and evening hours. Click here to sign up for appointments on-line.
  • OMED - OMED offers walk-in tutoring services for all students. Their hours are Sunday - Thursday from 5:30 - 8:30 in the Chapin Building (near the library). This is great for help in math and science.
  • Physics - OMED and the physics department offer physics help sessions weekdays from 2 - 4 PM in Howey Physics.
  • Math Lab - The school of mathematics has a math lab for walk-in assistance Monday - Friday. Click here for their current hours.
  • TutorVision - Georgia Tech's TutorVision call-in cable show, channel 20, Sunday - Thursday from 9 - 11 PM. This is for help in calculus, physics and chemistry.
  • Freshman Experience - The Freshman Experience program offers their Learning Assistance Program, Sunday - Thursday 8 - 11 PM.
  • Professor and TA Office Hours - Every TA and professor have office hours, which are usually give on your syllabus. Be sure to use those hours to ask questions.
  • On-line Tutorials - On-line tutorials are available in chemistry, biology, physics and math.

Academic Assistance Workshops

The counseling center on campus offers free Academic Help workshops during fall and spring semesters. These include Study Skills, Test Taking, Stress Reduction, Time Management, etc.
