Microsoft Windows XP Enable Firewall

the firewall on your computer you will not be able to share any kind of files,
folders or printers to any other computers. However, you will still be able to connect to file and printer shares on other
computers. If you would like to have Windows XP's firewall enabled on designated computers and still share files and
folders, "holes" can be inserted into the firewall to allow this. See Microsoft Knowledge base article Q298804, or contact the help desk at 4-7193, support@me.gatech.edu, for assistance.
