Woodruff Alumnus to be Honored by Two National Organizations

Mark F. Horstemeyer, a chair professor in mechanical and computation engineering at Mississippi State University and Woodruff School alumnus (PhD ME '95), will be recognized as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Engineering Section at its annual meeting in February.

Wreck Racing Featured in International Automotive Blog

Speed Hunters, an international automotive blog, ran a feature on Wreck Racing, a Woodruff School student group competition team. The article was written by Jonathan Bowen, ME undergrad and lead engineer of the team.

Srinivas Garimella Awarded $2.3M for Heat Pump Project

Georgia Tech and the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering have been awarded $2.3 million from the Department of Defense to develop a highly efficient absorption heat pump for military use.
