The cost for a 6¢ x 8¢ booth is $1,000 (U.S. Funds), which includes space rental, one complimentary registration for the representative of the exhibiting company, and one copy of the symposium proceedings. The symposium registration includes attendance to all technical sessions, breaks, socials, the symposium banquet, and a banner advertisement on the web site at http://www.me.gatech.edu/mechatronics2000. Additional representatives may attend for the regular symposium registration fee of $400 (pre-registration).

Exhibition space will be rented to companies and agencies interested in displaying their equipment, technologies, services, and/or capabilities related to mechatronics. Details concerning the application for obtaining an exhibition booth, contractual agreement, and the terms of conditions are contained in this prospectus. The exhibition hall will open to the public at 9:00 a.m. on September 6, 2000. Exhibits will be open concurrently with the plenary and breakout sessions. The exhibition hall will close at 6:00 p.m. on September 8, 2000.
Standard Booth Equipment and Floor Plan:
Booth rental spaces are 6¢ x 8¢. Also included: one draped table, two chairs, and one wastebasket. Overnight security will be provided in the exhibit space.

Exhibitor shall be bound by the rules and regulations set herein.
Exhibits should be designed to cover aspects related to mechatronics.
The exhibit space is not a "for sale" facility. Retail sales are not allowed.
Booth rental space shall include one draped table, two chairs, and one wastebasket. Booth size is 6¢ x 8¢. All exhibit accommodations will be handled by a convention services company.
The exhibit shall not obstruct the view of adjoining exhibits nor be operated in any manner objectionable to other exhibitors. All lighting within the exhibit must be arranged and operated so as not to be distracting to adjacent exhibits.
All material used for decorative purposes shall be flame proof. Explosive and flammable materials which conflict with fire safety codes shall not be permitted.
Installation of displays may begin at 7:00 a.m. on September 6, 2000, and must be completed by 9:00 a.m. on the same day. Take down of exhibits will begin at 2:00 p.m. on September 8, 2000, and must be completed by 6:00 p.m. on the same day.
Exhibits will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Admission shall be by ticket or badge and identification; badges shall not be transferable.
Rights of an exhibitor shall not be assignable to any other firm or person.
The exhibitor shall have an authorized representative present at his/her exhibit throughout all exhibit periods and during the installation and dismantling of the exhibit.
It is expressly understood and agreed by the exhibitor that he/she will make no claim of any kind against the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) for any loss, damage, theft, or destruction of goods, nor for any injury that may occur to him/herself or their employees while in the exhibit area, nor for any damage of any nature or character whatsoever, and without limiting the foregoing, including any damage to his/her business by reason of the failure to provide space for an exhibit or removal of the exhibit, or for any action of Georgia Tech in relation to the exhibit or exhibitor, and the exhibitor shall be solely responsible to his/her own agents and employees and to all third persons, including invitees and the public, for all claims, liabilities, actions, costs, damages, and expenses arising out of relating to the custody, possession, operation, maintenance, or control of the exhibit. Said exhibitor does hereby indemnify and hold harmless Georgia Tech against any and all such claims as may be asserted.
Should any contingency interrupt or prevent the holding of the conference, Georgia Tech will return the amount paid for the space. If, for any reason, Georgia Tech determines that the location of the conference should be changed or the dates of the conference postponed, no refund will be made, but Georgia Tech shall assign to the exhibitor, in lieu of the original space, such other space as Georgia Tech deems appropriate, and the exhibitor agrees to use such space under the same rules and regulations. Georgia Tech shall not be financially liable or otherwise obligated in the event the exhibit is cancelled, postponed, or relocated except as provided herein.
Georgia Tech shall have power to adopt and enforce all exhibitor attendance rules and regulations and all rules and regulations with respect to the kind, nature, and eligibility of exhibitors, adopted by it or set forth herein, and its decision on any matters which may arise hereunder shall be final.
Upon acceptance of this application by Georgia Tech, it shall be a legally binding contract between the exhibitor and Georgia Tech, provided that either party may cancel the contract on condition that written notice of such cancellation is received by remaining party at least 30 days prior to the scheduled opening date of the exhibit as provided herein, and further provided that the amount of the rental paid will be refunded only on the condition that such cancellation is made by Georgia Tech.
All spaces shall be paid in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. Bank at
the rate of $1,000 for a 6¢ x 8¢ booth which includes space rental, a copy of the
conference proceedings and one complimentary conference registration for a representative
of the exhibiting company. This fee also includes overnight security (see "special
requirements" on application form).
PLEASE NOTE: Additional representatives of
the exhibiting company may attend the conference at the standard conference rate of $400
(pre-registration). 100% of the total fee must be paid at the time the contract is
submitted. Checks shall be made payable to Georgia Institute of Technology and submitted
by August 7, 2000.
