Sterling Skinner manages the instructional laboratories; he implements other programs approved by the Chair of the School to assess, develop, maintain, operate, and assist in the teaching of laboratory classes.

Sterling won the Woodruff School Outstanding Achievement Award for Classified Employees for 2008, and the Woodruff School Outstanding Achievement Award for Classified Employees for summer quarter 1995.
