Research Areas and Descriptors
Background
Dr. Ghiaasiaan began at Tech in 1991 as an Associate Professor. Prior, he was Senior Staff Scientist at Science Applications International Corporation.
Research
Dr. Ghiaasiaan has performed research on a variety of issues in thermal/fluid science. Prior to joining Georgia Tech his research was primarily in the areas of nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulics and safety, ocean thermal energy conversion, and aerosol transport.
At Georgia Tech, in addition to the aforementioned subjects, he has conducted research on flow and heat transfer in microsystems, gas-fibrous slurry three-phase flows, and theoretical and computational modeling of various multiphase flow processes.
