Franklin is responsible for the advancement of research innovation, growth, and marketing by identification and development of funding sources for new laboratory based research in nuclear science and engineering and medical physics, in collaboration with Emory University faculty and staff. His duties also consist of program administration and laboratory management, including management of operations for the Varian medical accelerator laboratory.
