The George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech is driving innovation in energy production, conversion, transfer, and storage through advances in heat transfer, thermal systems, reactor engineering, energy conversion technologies, and other areas. Recent efforts include the development of high-efficiency absorption heat pumps that reuse waste heat, the creation of new materials and systems for thermochemical energy storage, and new thermal management methods for nuclear reactors.
