Mechanical Engineering Tenure-Track Faculty Positions

Georgia Tech's George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering is considering applicants for tenure-track faculty positions at the levels of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor. Applications will be entertained in any of the following of the School's research areas: Acoustics and Dynamics; Automation and Mechatronics (especially neural systems and medical robotics); Bioengineering (especially soft tissue biomechanics, cardiovascular biomechanics, biosensors and instrumentation, and bio-heat transfer); Computer-Aided Engineering and Design; Fluid Mechanics; Heat Transfer and Energy Systems (especially energy systems, nuclear systems including fuel cycle and heavy metal separations, and large-scale bio-energy systems); Manufacturing (especially precision engineering, bio-processing, bio-manufacturing, and sustainability and energy-efficient manufacturing processes); Mechanics of Materials (especially biomimetics, nanomaterials, multiscale systems, nuclear materials, and functional materials); MEMS;  and Tribology. A Ph.D. or equivalent qualification is required. Those applying for Associate and Full Professor positions should have established records in research, including publications and funding. Industrial experience is desirable, but not required. The positions will require a balance of undergraduate teaching, graduate teaching, and research.
