Welcome to ASME at Georgia Tech

The student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) at Georgia Institute of Technology is a dedicated student-run organization which strives to create industrial and corporate contacts and insight for students. Our weekly meetings consist of world renowed companies who present what they do in their industry and what job opportunities they offer. Georgia Tech Professors also come and give presentations on acceptance procedures into grad school. We are also active on campus, hosting fundraisers and celebrating the spirit of being a mechanical engineer at Georgia Tech.

If you are a student interested in receiving information on when the next ASME event will be (in addition to our weekly meetings), please click Join ASME GT to sign up as a member of ASME at Georgia Tech. This does not make you a memeber of the national ASME (which you can join for $25 as a student, with your first year free, at www.asme.org), but it will make you a part of the Georgia Tech Student Chapter. You will receive information on major events such as the Fall ASME Career Fair, the Spring ASME Picnic, ASME Tech Rec Night, and other events that are being planned.

Weekly Meetings

ASME will host its weekly meeting on Thursdays at 11 AM in MRDC 2404 (Manufacturing Related Disciplines Complex/Mechanical Engineering Building). Thank you to all the ME students, faculty, and staff who made Fall 2011 a success! We look forward to building upon our growing student base to offer more events in the future. If you are a representative from a company or a student interested in finding out more about the ASME Student Section at Georgia Tech, please do not hesitate to contact us at asmegt@gmail.com to find out about sponsoring events or attending a weekly meeting. Meanwhile, please find information on our upcoming Events and Officers throughout this website.
