The Georgia Tech graduate and undergraduate programs gave me the opportunity to pursue a diverse range of technical and nontechnical interests. Georgia Tech is highly respected throughout industry, which has helped tremendously in getting hired for the positions I was interested in. The education I received has enabled me to work effectively in a variety of fields, which includes finite-element modeling; power plant performance monitoring; material testing; and setting up a business partnership with a German hydroturbine company. Equally important are the extracurricular activities at Georgia Tech. Outdoor Recreation at Georgia Tech (ORGT) provided a great outlet from the intense academics and has given me a life-long interest in outdoor activities, such as whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and weekend outings.
