I was very lucky. My research was sponsored by a leading company in the field. I had the opportunity to work at the forefront of the most challenging problems that industry was facing. It was an eye-opening experience that made me realize that to solve real-world engineering problems, one must have the creativity and a sense of practicality because textbook knowledge will only go so far. Fortunately, my graduate research experience gave this industrial perspective and allowed me to make a smooth transition from school to industry.

The quality of the faculty, the scope and the availability of the courses, the diversity of the student body, and the city of Atlanta are the major strengths of Georgia Tech. You learned not only engineering knowledge, but also how to communicate with faculty members, student colleagues, and people with different cultural backgrounds. It helped you to grow as an engineer and as a person, to be ready to enter society.

The reason I came to the Woodruff School for graduate study is because I know the mechanical engineering program is one of the top engineering programs in the country. Having gone through the most challenging program myself, I am confident more than ever that the Woodruff School graduate program will soon become the one that sets the standard of engineering excellence for other programs.
