As an international student, I did not have the privilege of participating in the weekend recruiting events before making my decision. However, it was easy for me to get sufficient information about Georgia Tech even though I was in another country because of Georgia Tech's worldwide reputation. Georgia Tech offered me an opportunity to realize my dream, and I had no hesitation to take the chance. Now, I am proud of being a part of the Woodruff School.

The Woodruff School provided me every resource to be successful. Its large faculty exposed me to a broad spectrum of cutting-edge research. In addition, the Woodruff School offers well-organized seminar series, such as "How to do research" and "How to find a faculty position," for motivated graduate students. I was also able to learn and think deeply about being a faculty member by taking the Teaching Practicum, which was a required course for every Ph.D. student. This was an excellent opportunity for students to get some idea about what life in academia would be like. Moreover, the excellent Woodruff Colloquium Seminar Series provides an opportunity to observe state-of-the-art research activities outside of Georgia Tech, which greatly helped me broaden my knowledge before graduation.

Georgia Tech has world-class research facilities. The Microelectronics Research Center, for instance, is one of the top nanofabrication facilities in the nation. Needless to say, faculty members at the Woodruff School are the best in terms of research and teaching, but more importantly they are readily accessible for students who are trying to seek help. I am truly grateful for receiving all the invaluable advice and tremendous encouragement during my Ph.D. study at the Woodruff School.
