Advisory Board

The annual meeting of the Woodruff School's Advisory Board is held on the Georgia Tech campus each fall. The Advisory Board recommends directions to the Woodruff School, suggests broad-based curriculum revisions, and consults with the Chair and faculty on important issues. Members are invited to join the Advisory Board so that its composition reflects the varied scope of mechanical engineering, nuclear and radiological engineering, and medical physics in industry, the health-related professions, and the academic community. Dr. Deborah Kilpatrick serves as the current chair of the board.

A number of the Woodruff School advisory board members also belong to the Nuclear Engineering Advisory Board. The notation "NE Board Member" is by each of their names in the accompanying list. This board has representatives from academia and industry. They meet once a year, in the fall, to discuss new ideas for the Nuclear and Radiological Engineering program and to talk about areas of research that are important to industry. The advisory board recommends strategic directions to the Woodruff School, suggests broad-based curriculum revisions, and consults with the Chair and faculty on important issues.
