Dr. Yogendra Joshi
Dr. Joshi is The John M. McKenney and Warren
D. Shiver Distinguished Chair in Building Mechanical Systems at Georgia Tech. Prior to joining Tech in Fall 2001, he held academic positions
at the University of Maryland at College
Park from 1993–2001 and the Naval Postgraduate
School from 1986–1993. He received a bachelor’s degree
in mechanical engineering from the Indian
Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1979, master’s degree in mechanical engineering
from the State University of New York, Buffalo, in 1981, and a doctorate
in mechanical engineering and applied mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania
in 1984. He is the author or co-author of more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles
and conference papers. He is an elected Fellow of the ASME and the American
Association for the Advancement of Science. In 2006, he received the ASME
Electronic and Photonic Packaging Division Outstanding Contribution Award
in Thermal Management.

Pramod Kumar
Dr. Kumar joined METTL in October 2008. He received his B.Tech. from Govt. College of Engineering, Goa, India in 1997 and his M.Tech. in 2001 and Ph.D. in 2008, both from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a senior design engineer at the Engineering Research Center of Tata Motors, India from 2001 to 2002. He is presently the lab manager of the Data Center Cooling Laboratory at Georgia Tech. His current research activities include using the particle image velocimetry (PIV) technique to study large scale flows in data centers.

Daniel
joined our group in Fall 2008. He
received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and B.S. in Mathematics, both from University of Delaware in 2008. His current research involves development of advanced strategies for data center cooling.

Emad
Samadiani (Ph.D.)
Emad received his B.S. in 2003 and M.S. in 2005 in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of
Technology, Tehran, Iran and he joined our group in Fall 2005. His research involves
thermal management and design problems of data centers.

Joshua Sharp (M.S.)
Josh
joined our group in Fall 2008. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in
2008 from Texas Christian University. His current research involves waste heat recovery applied to data centers. He is the recipient of the G.W. Woodruff Fellowship at Georgia Tech.
